Weird Stuff in the Woods

Sometimes the weird stuff you find along the way is more interesting than the Geocache.

The location

On the hilltop near Pine Hill's Friend (GC 81E) is a covered reservoir that looks like a giant earthwork.

Signs

These nearby wrapped trees at N 42° 26.234  W 071° 19.700 in Lincoln, MA could be another art project.

Toaster Head points the way to his cache (GC6507) in West Greenwich, RI.

What did this tree witness at the Swiss Family Robinson cache (GC2E42) in Needham, MA?

At X Marks the Spot (GC4FAA) in Acton, MA, you need to solve the puzzle of these stones before proceeding.

Strange but true... These crossed cables are in the woods near X Marks the Spot.  Of course, I incorrectly assumed the cache was here.  But the cache owner didn't know about them.

This homeless camp was found near the picturesque Fawn Lake cache (GC8E5) in Bedford, MA.  Unfortunately, you can find many signs of homelessness in our public parks.

A sign found near a fishing hole at the Cold Feet cache (GC3A74) in North Kingston, RI.

Signs

This hand glider was found at the bottom of a deep ravine near The Witch Hunt cache (GC1951) in Portsmouth, RI.  I hope it was dumped here; otherwise, it was a rough landing.

Signs

A surprising number of old chimneys can be found in state parks.  Apparently, these properties were abandoned or taken by eminent domain.  They  often contain a cache or a clue, as this one did at the Callahan Cache (GC2B90) in Framingham, MA.

Abandoned military radar equipment can be found near the Nobscot Mountain cache (GC20A) in Sudbury, MA.
