  The Approach

GC3D07 -- Heritage Park
Portsmouth, RI

This very small park was the site of the largest battle in New England during the Revolutionary War.

  The Cache

Not much of interest in the cache. Took the largest object - the horse - to make room for the Buzzy travel bug found in Boston. Also left 2 six-packs of CacheCards.
  The Approach

GC2B34 -- Albro Woods -- Middletown, RI

Another small town forest.

  The Cache

Left the Fire Eating Nietzsche CD found in the Walnut Place cache as well as 2 six-packs of CacheCards. Took the sea manatee and exchanged 2 bucks for a pair of Where's George bills. I've been planning to take up that habit as well.
  The Approach

GC1951 -- The Witch Hunt -- Portsmouth, RI

After two nothing-special sites, this turned out to be one of my favorite cache locations. Again, I would have never found it unless Geocaching. The location was an interesting history as well.
  The Location

The site is near a breached dam built for Glen Farm. A stream cuts a deep ravine in the rock on its way to the sea.  The site is littered with ruins and junk, like this abandoned hang- glider.
  Inside the pump station

The inside of the old pumping station is covered with graffiti.
  The Approach
I took the lion in the barrel; left globe pen/bubbler from Lowell cache as well as 2 six-packs of CacheCards.
