GC31DE -- The Depot -- Needham, MA

I’ve been reading about The Depot ever since I found the Bug House in the First Mass Cache.  I was not disappointed.

The Depot is a model train enthusiasts dream come true.  An outdoor model railroad in the middle of the woods.

The clue reads: A lantern in a tree holds the key to a box beneath a bench in the middle of the woods.

The box was indeed padlocked.  The cache includes a camera as well.

The cache contents were better than average. Of course the real prize is a Bug House.  I got number #115 and this time it's staying with me.

The Depot also contains a letterbox, a pre-GPS version of GeoCaching. Visit www.letterboxing.org for information.

Letterboxers collect and leave rubber stamp impressions -- much like a passport.

I had the pleasure of meeting the Depot's master - Chooch himself.  Once he learned I was a fellow GeoCacher, he graciously offered to run the train.

Here's a Bug House in the wild.  Chooch prefers to call them bird houses.  Numerous houses line the trail to The Depot.
