Best Hitchhikers / Travel Bugs

A Hitchhiker is an item that travels from cache to cache.  Often, the owner provide a mission for fellow geocachers to execute.  Hitchhikers with Travel Bugs can be tracked online.

TBCEC - Boonie Man's Wishing Well

What a surprise awaited me when I got home and opened the pouch.  Inside was a 1878 silver dollar. Click here to read its story.

TB119F - Dog Tags

Finders are invited to add a dog tag or photo of their pet before placing the tags in another cache. Click here to follow its progress.

Bug House

The note read:

Greetings! For I am The Bughouse hitchhiker #111.  Please open my roof and insert a nice dead bug. (No smushed ones or guts, please!)

I would like to travel around MA and collect nice bug specimens and then return to my home @ The Depot Cache!

Thank you for your help!

I later had the pleasure of meeting its maker, Chooch, when I visited The Depot, one of my Top 10 caches.

GeoPuzzle

Team Straub leaves behind a bag of magnet letters to be unscrambled.  Answers are available on their website.

Geocoins

Several cachers leave Geocoins.  I found this one left by FISUR at the geokids cache (GC2816) in Warwick, RI.

CacheCards

A CacheCard is a "calling card" for Geocaches. Capturing the essence of place, it encourages others to visit the location.  Often CacheCards are found attached to items taken from the site.
